MHF4U — Advanced Functions
MHF4U tutoring in Glen Abbey, Oakville, Ontario — small groups of no more than 6, twice a week, taught by one instructor. Ontario, AP, and IB.
What it covers
Polynomial, rational, exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions — their graphs, their algebra, and how they combine and transform.
Where students get stuck
This is the course that assumes everything from MCR3U is automatic. A shaky unit circle, weak log rules, or slow factoring surfaces here and compounds quickly across the semester.
How tutoring MHF4U works
We start from where the student actually is, not where the syllabus says they should be: check what class is covering, teach the fundamental underneath the trouble, and work problems at the right level until it holds. Between sessions, students message me when they're stuck on homework or prepping for a test.
