MPM2D — Principles of Mathematics
MPM2D tutoring in Glen Abbey, Oakville, Ontario — small groups of no more than 6, twice a week, taught by one instructor. Ontario, AP, and IB.
What it covers
Quadratic relations and their three forms, analytic geometry on the coordinate plane, and trigonometry of right and acute triangles.
Where students get stuck
Quadratics — moving fluently between standard, factored, and vertex form, and factoring quickly. It's the first math course where falling behind is hard to undo alone.
How tutoring MPM2D works
We start from where the student actually is, not where the syllabus says they should be: check what class is covering, teach the fundamental underneath the trouble, and work problems at the right level until it holds. Between sessions, students message me when they're stuck on homework or prepping for a test.
